Daytona water temp in January?

So the water gets down to a chilly 65 degrees, eh?

Wow.

That's the high temperature in mid August here in the Snake and Columbia.

on the coldest day at last years event it was not a problem with a 3/2 mil suit. the temp shouldn't keep people away.

I'm sorry, I just get real offensive about that kind of stuff, cause I just want as many people as we can get to come and have a good time... I know it probably doesn't make up someones mind, but I would hate to think that someone did't show because of that... no bigeee

It was 80 and sunny every day at last years ride .Shorts and a life jacket is all you need in that water any time of year .oh ya maybe a mesh suit would come in handy to fend off the sharks

The water in daytona isn't cold......a shortie might be in order to be comfortable....but not bad.

The water was great....it was the wind that tore me to shreds last year. (BTW- this is coming from a south floridian who thinks that 75 is freezing! :biggthumpup: )

they are all keen but when it comes to money crunch time it may be different

Well, that's not entirely true.....he wears a suit in the winter here. But NEVER wears shoes.

All i wear is a 3.2 Shortie in February, Florida's coldest month.
It never got under 66 degrees on the days i rode. I was fine for me. And i'm a wussie when it comes to the cold. I'm from south FL.

You northern cats should be fine with a short suit. Just come down and enjoy.
