I would say call Dasa or Steve at kommand... If you building on the kawi sxr 800 bottom end....

Not a lot of guys out there building on the kawi based bottom end... Brian at Thrust was talking about a 4 m stroker kawi motor that Dasa just built for a customer.

Go with a lightened hull first. Adds just as much power.....you'll be rippin as hard as any sj 701.

Tell us more about what you have and are trying to do? surf? flat? whats on your ski now?

I have an SXR Dasa top end being made and should have it next week . It is a stock stroke ,powervalve setup , and will be using it with factory pipe wetpipe . Cant wait to get started putting it together . Have no doubts it will run well once I get the right jets in the carbs.

smrbum,

stock crank? just asking how it is holding up. i am building an 820 and was wondering what crank too use. how many hours on that crank?
that is an awesome engine, very nice "clean" looking x2 dude. what fuel tank do you use in the gen 1 with the sxr pipe or are you using a different exhaust?

how do you like the boyesen intake, i'm running that as well with 46blackjacks.

Been grinding on manifold . Removed forward mounting boss that was not used by this wetpipe to help exhaust chamber fitment . Also did some grinding where the chamber/headpipe connection gets to close to manifold due to spacer between manifold and headpipe . I think I am going to be able to run it without the spacer with enough grinding on underside of headpipe above rear powervalve , but for the time being will run spacer .

This is an 820 setup and have a fairly new hotrods crank in it . Will be fitting it with a crankworks crank in the near future .

ya stock 04 sxr crank not sure how many hours,i'm using the stock x2 tank right now with the x2 factory pipe chamber till this winter
