The nose rides a little higher on mine, it might pop out of the water a little easier, and mine actually felt like it hooked up in turns a littler better than when the plate was flush across the back.

I used a can of some sort, not sure what. There are tons of threads on it.

you really should get a spare to d-cut so you can try them back to back.as with anything there are tradeoffs.

turning will certainly improve but some people say handling suffers

Many thanks guys , it many work for me then , i find me front seams low and hard to get up , in fact i find it hard to get the ski to jump out the water, i know shes a heavy beast and not the quickest , but it would be good to make it jump around a littl more ,

Damn! That thing does look pretty sweet.

If you could shave the nose piece in front of the pole lower or possibly flush, and lower the pole bracket, it would look even better.

That is a cool pole you made a while back. Now I remember seeing it in pics.

bingo I bought a stock rideplate for my superjet use a paint can for the radius and a plasma cuter to cut the metal. First time out on in I hated it! but I am flatwater only

You don't need anything but a 4-5 in side grinder, mark a line grind it to the line and maybe finish it off with some 80 grit sandpaper, last one took me about ten minutes tops.:wiggle:
