crazyass911 ripped me.....

Beware of crazyass911

His name is Sean Curtis McClintock, he had posted on here for sale a wammer hull with a WDK 927cc in it. He and I talked for months about the details of this ski. I put my truck up for sale to have enough money to buy this ski, I finally sold my truck and had enough money so I worked out details to meet him halfway, he is in Florida, I am in Missouri...

I was planning on checking compression when we met, but didn't think to bring an extra battery since he (crazyass911) told me he just got done riding it 3 weeks prior as well as he had his "tuner" make sure the ski was dialed in a week prior to that. I just assumed the battery was good to go in it. I guess not, battery is deader than a door nail when we meet, he assured me that its running perfect, and that he just rode it and his guy went through everything etc...so, long story short I trusted him since I had been talking with him about this deal for so long. I get the ski back, and check compression. 160psi in cylinder #1, 175psi in cylinder #2. Sean said it was dead on 205psi last time he rode it. Granted sea level changes PSI numbers, but this is obviously a different situation with the numbers being so far off.

Decide to pull the front cover....RUST! and water pours out as we start to take the cover off.

Pull the domes---pitted from what I would guess would be the ring shavings?

Pull the cylinders off----scored from the pistons

Pull the pistons-----royally F'd up!

Crank is rusted, as well as the crank bearings down in the case.

Awesome...Tried calling Sean, texting him, leaving him messages. I have not heard ANYTHING back from this kid...

Yes, I should have brought my own battery, or went and bought one when I met him. But I trusted someone on the forum and got it up the azz on this deal. How someone can just flat out lie amazes me.

Yes, there are a few of you that know this guy and I know this is not YOUR problem, but morally, I can't see how you are cool with a kid doing this to someone else. If anyone here runs into this kid or knows him etc, I would appreciate it if you tried to tell him to do the right thing and try to work something out with myself.

I want the ski, I want the motor, I just want it fixed to what he said it was.

here is the original FS thread. And the pics of this low hour (30hrs) 927cc that had 205psi in both cylinders 3 weeks ago..

For what it's worth, I barely escaped this same scenario last year, only I was the seller asking a good dollar for my ski. My engine had less than 4 hours on a fresh rebuild and was running incredibly well the weekend before as well. After being unable to sell the ski complete I decided to part it out. When I pulled the head, I found scored pistons that were very close to failure. I thank fate and Karma that things played out the way they did and not like your scenario. I would have looked like such an azz!

Anyways, I just thought it important to point out that many things can be wrong with an engine that the seller may not be aware of. Not saying that is the case but just throwing that out there.

I hope you guys can work something out and put this to rest amicably.

i drove 5 hours to buy a rn i even crossed the border to usa got held up there for any hour, when i met the person, ski would not start i brought my own battery, still would not start, checked compression it was like 220 i said holy cow that is high when i took my tester off ski, i noticed water on compression tester then ran ski with no plugs water coming everywhere and i mean a lot, compression when down to 180 checked ski again and found other things i did not like, even thou i travelled a long distance and border mess up i refused to buy ski. be careful when buying a ski and if he is a younger person be even more careful, and i am sorry this happened to you , its hard buying a ski just from pictures and talking on the phone even thou i have gambled before and bought without seeing ski in person

Here is the update. I have been trying to contact this kid. We talked for 30 mins about a week ago and he said he was going to make everything right, and to start off by sending my $500 deposit I had sent to him back to me. And later help me find a crank, get me some pistons, a starter etc and that he was not out to rip anyone off. This he said he was going to do that night. I have tried to continulously contact him, but I get nothing nor has anything showed up in my paypal account....awesome

This sean kid can not be serious......i get my self screwed to start with by trusting his word to buy the ski, then he calls says he is not in it to eff anyone over and will make things right, will send me money, and parts me or friends need for our skis that he has laying around. I was surprised and relieved somewhat that he came around and did what he knows was right and said he was going to make it right....but to have the brass ball to turn around and just blow smoke up my ass for the second time in a row he must have some brass balls. Just wanna say karma is a biaaatchh!! highly recommend that no one deals with this kid or buys anything from him, or for that matter even enjoys the sport with him riding with them.... unbelievable!!!!!
