Could someone clear this up for me? Regarding yami cases

Ok, I've been searching, and I can't seem to nail what I want to know down from reading. I keep getting confused.


If someone could answer this, it would be much appreciated.

So, a 94-95 SJ comes with ____ cases, and ____ cylinder?

a 96- current comes with _____ cases, and ____ cylinder?

What is the most desirable combo of cases and cylinder for lowend?

alright correct me if im wrong but - all 701 engines have the same cylender - X i think its 64x? not sure. Rn have 62t case and sn have x case. Most people would agree that that rn engines have the most potential but im sure some would argue the other way

96- current comes with 62T cases, and 61X cylinder

Both can be setup to have great bottom end however, having owned both I prefer the 62T cases with 61X cylinder!

Depends what its in. My 61x FX1 scoots along fine. As quick on the bottom and top as a RN w/a pipe.

Is your fx1 stock or does it have a bpipe?

I find the weight of the fx1 makes it a faster ski than the superjet!!!!!!!

I am waiting (patiently) for all my parts to arrive. I ordered a 61x engine with stock bore and porting. Now i need to throw on my ADA head and b pipe, wetjet intake and still need to buy a carb. It will be fine in my sn until i can afford a rn.

i prefer 62t cases as well however, that being said, what about 61x cases with a modified intake - i.e. what wax is selling on ebay right now?

anyone have any experience with this sort of mod?

talk to Keith Head......... He is building motors using 61x cases that rivals any of the big bore 62T motors.
