Got any more info on this? Looks like the lanyard is wrapped around the throttle rather than it stuck wide open. Talk about sending a ski out to pasture. wonder were it ended up.

That was at the Quicksilver pro at Snapper rocks in Oz was there yesterday, actually was there today , just hit the ground here in the us Ill post a report on the Quicksilver pro and the Oz freeride here in a bit

The official report is that its was one of the safety patrol ski's, a local surfer mate from one of the guys competeing, he had his lanyard around the bars and went over a wave one handed whilst i believe trying to put on his life jacket grabed the throttle fell off the back as the lanyard had wedged in the cable, usual story was runnaway faulty jet ski made front page, no story to say it was operating properly it is just the rider was an idiot????
