Just got home from my Christmas vacation and started work again. Got the nose all re enforced today. I will have all the interior done by the end of this week.

Here are a couple more pics of how I set up the duct tape and cardboard when I rebuilt the hood seal lip area.

I coated the carbon fiber with some Aluzine clear epoxy resin. Of course the second side came out way nicer than the first side. The pictures below are of the same area as the post above, just so you have a comparison. I should have coated it when it was a little warmer outside, but I got tired of waiting for a warm day. The first side came out a little hazy I think b/c I left a halogen light too close while it was curing.

I installed my stator, soaked my starter bendix in mineral spirits, then in regular motor oil. Going to install the bendix, flywheel and cover hopefully tonight. I replaced all my hose clamps on the hard to reach water lines on the engine, and properly cleaned and installed my new electrical cables to the positive and negative of the starter.

I then re installed the tie wrap holders around the hood seal lip area and the stock fuel filter holder, then super glued down my old hood seal. My re enforcement has made so that I can't re install the stock air/water separator without grinding, so I'm just not gonna run it any longer, even though I like using them. I repaired the hood seal as best I could, and think it is going to hold up for another couple years.

Installed brand new monkey grip engine mounts, brand new kenny keepers, a brand new OEM steering cable, and re installed the pump and intake grate. Every single bolt has been installed with anti seize.

I threw some turf on the water box, b/c the straps seemed a little old and stretched out. The turf took up the slack very well.

I think there was a thread a while back about the blowsion Factory mod chamber to water box coupler being a little bit the wrong shape. Mine is on there, but doesn't fit that well. The tube is starting to kink a little. I might take it back off and trim some of the length out of it.

I installed the engine, camber, and pole/bracket also.

you don't need to do the carbon, its mainly just for looks, but i imagine adds some strength. Without the carbon, I probably would have saved $40-60, and taken a little less time. Call me if you need any advice, but I got all mine from taylor.

i was thinkin about the blowsion kit, what do you think?

no, do it yourself. Just buy some yards of material. That way you'll have enough to do cover the parts blowsion's kits don't, ie nose area, hood seal lip area.

Be prepared to spend some dime though. Come down and buy all the stuff at fiberglass hawaii, and I'll hook you up with what I can.

Resin and hardner
Knytex
Brushes
Gloves
aluminum roller
plastic squee gee
Chop strand
Micro Ballons
Cabosil
New pair of sharp scissors

The only thing you may not want to buy at fiberglass hawaii is the resin and hardner just b/c of the price. A half gallon kit of the US composites brand should be enough for the whole ski.

i haven't yet, but the first time you nose into the sand and snap it off, you'll wish you would have done it.
