So I finally had time to meet with my sxr's starter who had been requesting my presence for some time and she stated that she doesn't like the choke because she's being forced to crank and crank and crank to finally get the ski firing and subsequently started. She stated that although she's essentially new, she would not remain that way forever and if I continued to "turn her over in the fashion that I do" (her words), she's unsure how long she would last.
Not thinking, I blurted out that replacing her would be a good time to add a wet pipe and she started crying.
So at the request of my starter and out of a little bit of guilt for what I said, I added a primer to my sx-r. I removed the choke, the choke cable, the plates, ran the lines to both carbs, ran the lines to the primer and this is where I turned into a dumass.
I though it would make life easier if I tied the fuel lines to the plunger before I mounted it so I did. . . . Of course that made it a little difficult to mount it to the ski with the washer and nut. :banghead:
