Yep, this is possible, the nose piece in my avatar is done this way, it is time consuming and somewhat tidious, but Toby came up with a way on his design on the aftermarket nose piece for stock hood. Its seweeeeet.
my way isnt time consuming nor tedious. its stupid simple.
i put the 2 rear ones where they normally go. then with a long drill bit and a long phillps screwdriver (and with the pole up) i predrilled and screwed in 2 more screws further forward from the first 2.:biggthumpup:

nick.... just drill at the only angle you can (which would be at about 25* above horizontal)
with the pole up, look in front of the pole from either side of the ski and youll see where you can access it.

hey you could also squirt a big blob of silicone up in the nose to act as an adheasive!!!!!!!!!!!!
