 I guess Jeff is getting better at delivering his products like everyone has been saying.

How many layers of paint and clear were on that hull, Scott....:sneaky:

And what will your new paint scheme be?!?

Wow, it does exist. Nice!
Why is it not drilled for the hood latch? Did it come with the breather hoses? I like the alum catch on the underside of the nose piece.

How about a side profile picture of the nose cover?

forget stripper, use a DA sander with 80-100 grit paper, much easier!!!!!!!!!
I agree. This is what I am doing now on mine. Use the paint stripper in tight areas like hood seal channel, handpole area.

I used an (air) palm D/A (10K rpm) and it took off a very heavy layer of tuff Urathane paint. I used up five 6" round pads.

You should think about re-applying gelcoat instead of paint (unless you want a multi color bling paint job).

BTW: You can tell Waterdog is trying to restore his name and from everything I have seen lately...he is deserving of all the praise he gets!

that might not be a fair comment based on those pics. he does't have a hood latch on and may not have hood hooks. that will change the angle of the hood line.

ok:

yes, it is pre-drilled for a latch/hooks (not installed yet)...
yes it came with breather hoses

the nose is just sitting on there, I didnt hook it into the catch....

Everything seems to be beautiflly fabbed.........even the inside of the handholds are pre-turfed!

How is the fit?
Looks like an amazing piece, especially for the price, and it doesnt look like the liner is going to explode

personally, It is better to have to drill your rear latch holes, that way you can insure the correct tension on it, I have had 3 different hoods, each had a different amount of tension on it when latched from loose to tight.....

That hood is so hot it seems to have scorched the hull.
