not much really happenin with taht scene anymore:frown: I may have some stuff kicken around. mostly motor stuff and hi perf stuff. that is what I enjoy. There was a black vw on one of the mags years back doing a huge burnout with a 2110 in it. if only that had come out before the red car I ended up doing mine after.:eek:fftopic: :hijacked: the tubes and throw out and HD clips I probably have. the master maybe, I can get one for sure. need some kadrons? I think I have like 3-4 sets, various stages of quality.

Why are you guys going to this Mac master catalog? Home Depot or west marine Today!@

Sundance had to close because of a Cease and Decist letter from good ol VWoA. Apparently the word "BUG" in the shop title was a problem.

He re-opened under a diff name. Internet parts only. I can find the name if you like.

that ok I know where he wharehouse at in Dunedin. he doesn't have much of what I need anyway. just thought I would fling a few names out there from the past. LOL. Nice thread, not enough vw talk for my taste though. posers! nice bus O, nice motor, finally somei=one with enough sense to well the flanges on the heater boxes! been doing it for years. that muffler is way too hard to do head torques and valvle adjusts around and they always break the hangers off and then its just ammater of time beforer the flange gives it up. two barrels are crap, nothing wrong with 1776, I bet he has other things going on that helpe d the motor to an early death....ever retorque the heads after breakin? and ever do a valve adjust? runing the stock springs, rocker shafts and adjusters? there ya go. valve float, heat, out of adjustment downward spiral. loose heads lowere compression more overheat more valve problems, mash the pedal harder to keep sam speed as yesterday and just keep makingit worse...... sorry, but just like newbiews with skis you stay around vw long enough and I can pretty much give you a daily diary of how things go down. Hope this is not the case for ya WD. and stay away from $800 motors. there is a reason they are cheap, cause they are crapo. I can build you a better motor from junkyard parts. seriously. who are talking about fisher?or GEX?

err sorry if I got away from myself......just very passionate about air cooled and hate to see good money get wasted. I don't think I am a vw god only a very sad lover of vw. I have done motors from 36HP with the gen stand part of the case to 2110 to waterboxers. and vr6's and all the watercooled for that matter. Mg's to BMW. built a 190e mercedes for my wife from the ground up ( I know, why? right) tons of stuff for the past 20 years. wow I AM old. when did THAT happen? I have owned some cars, parts, and work clothes for longer than my kids have been around. 8 years. that is sick, to have parts just laying around waiting for a home for 8 years.

Tom-

nothing is permanent.

Doc said sometimes 2 weeks. SOmetimes 6 months. If it dont heal after then there is surgery.

Mine only took a month to heal. Was not very painful. But, that injury really sucks. Feeling like you have your head in a bucket not fun. WHen I first did it I had an 80% loss in hearing in my right ear. Which equates to a 40% total hearing loss. I was one deaf f'er for a couple of days.

As tim will tell ya it was a flat day and we were just messing around.

If it doesnt heal naturally then they also have some drops that are like acid that they put on the drum part and it eats a few layers of skin off making the drum raw and that helps in it healling up. The drops sting like hell for about 30 seconds but then its all over and time will heal it.... my el-rollo attempt ended with a rupture.
