Super Jet Can't get pole bolt through spring

I can't even think straight because I'm so frustrated with trying to put back the pole bolt through my new blowsion spring. I have a rrp cast pole with blowsion dual breather bracket. Is there some sort of trick to get it on or I'm I just stupid? I have the bolt started through the spring but the spring to totally bent away from where it needs to go. I'm also trying to get around the flexible breather tube, which sucks. Any ideas??

I found you have to crush the tubes a bit to clear the springs. I also found that I had to drill a different hole and take some of the bend out of the Blowsion spring. The OEM spring actually works better than the Blowsion in this case.

i had to do this crap yesterday. what a pain in the ass. the oem spring works fine. i made this janky tool and ratchet straped the lower leg of the spring up to the tensioner while the font leg was in the pole. all done while pole was in up position.

well I only have the blowsion spring so I will make that work. Im thinking if I can slide something behind the spring to help maneuver it around it might help.

Well I conquered the spring with relative ease...surprisingly. A second hand is a must and also use a ratchet strap, hooking it to something sturdy behind the ski. Really helps with straightening out the spring. Also some screw drivers to help steer the bolt through the holes. And lastly patience...lots of patience. Now the pole is in boner mode. Only bad part was I took a pretty good chip out of the hull by the nose piece, which sucks.

The Blowsion spring is too much and the stocker is too little. I had both side by side and the short arms are different by 90°. If you make a note of the position, bend and adjust the arm to somewhere in the middle then that is perfect tension to neutralize the weight of the RRP. Use high heat in one focused area, bend quick and quench and you should be good for years.

Good on ya for getting that blowsion spring on the little stand. I tried for hours and ended up bending my spring before I did any further damage to the spring post or mount.

It's funny that I just found this thread. I just finished installing my Blowsion lowered bracket and heavy duty spring. I agree fully...ROYAL PIA! I did however get it. I found that using a plastic mallet to drive the bolt through worked the easiest for me. But I absolutely agree on the Blowsion spring being way too much for the purpose. In fact, I am considering using my stock bracket and spring again and selling the lowered unit. After the fight I went through tonight (3.5 hours) just to get the AC pole installed, and muffing up some spots on my just painted ski, I am about ready to beat the crap out of it all with a sledge lol. Not only was the spring way too much overkill...my pole now will not leave the 90 degree vertical climb...but I had to do it with the bracket not installed. Because of the bracket being lowered, the bolt doesn't clear the hull like it used to so installs on this bracket require it to not be fixed in place before assembling the bolt set-up. Has anyone ever broken a stock bracket while doing any freeriding?

I figured out a shortcut for this. I started putting it together and decided it would be easy to do if I could put the stops in later. The rrp blocks can only be mounted before the base of the pole is mounted. So I went to a local metal fab shop and got a piece of stainless keystock. They gave it to me for free, it was in their scrap pile. I cut, filed, drilled and tapped, and basically made 2 large nuts the same size as the rrp stops. I bought 2 stainless hex bolts to use in place of the Allen bolts, for easier tightening. I was able to hyper extend the pole base to put the spring in. I had both a stock and blowsion spring, so I swapped them back and forth, and settled with the stock. ( try that with the stops in!). After the pole bolt and spring was in, I put a little blue loctite on my new bolts and stuck them up through, and in to my new stops. I put the hoses in last, a little tight, but easier than fighting a spring and bolt under tension. It looks the same as the rrp stops except its not black like the rest of my pole mount. I didn't drill all the way through the blocks, so they are actually cleaner. Just 2 polished blocks in my mount. I don't know why rrp doesn't sell them this way! Did it with NO help.
