I am building a Freestyle flatwater fx-1. It has been taking alot longer then i wanted it to, but will be well worth it in the long run. Ther thing i hate about the fx-1's are the POLE BRACKET AND POLE. I am going to get a different pole and bracket for my ski but want a real LOW PROFILE pole and bracket.
I'm think I like the x-metal pole but not sure if thats the best.

I want a thin and lighter pole.
How much difference in weight and height is this to stock poles?
Would i be better off staying stock with a lowered pole bracket?
I'd like to stay under $650 with pole and bracket.
Any idea's

Any input would be great..

Old, but still ridin'!!!
Your description of what you want pretty much describes the X-Metal pole. Give Pat or Radney a call and talk it over with them.

I personally think it would look cool as hell on an FX-1

Also what length does everyone like with the fx-1 freestyle.
I'm 5'9 and like stock, i know stock is already -2 inches from a stock sj pole.

Anyone running a stock fx-1 pole with another -2 inches? So i guess it would be -4 inches.
And if i get the lowered pole bracket how much neg does that make the pole?

Sorry for all the questions, but i havn't rode any other fx-1s to compare.

nah.... there are a few others out there that are lighter.

XFT
24-7 carbon

I picked up a xmetal and a stocker yesterday and the weigh difference is minimal... maybe 2-3lbs

your right... i tried looking for that post with the full list of poles, but couldn't.

the stocker and x-metal seem to be the most readily available poles light weight poles.

So long and thanks for all the fish

Air Time Products is probably the lightest (that is currently available) billet top/bottom with carbon middle.

Maybe the XFT, but the one I have seen was super thin and cracked in just a few months.

i got a sotcker that has been cut down 4 inches and wrapped inside and out with carbon. I also added a large 2.25" intake all the way to the top of the pole with 2 part foam around it....and have a hand made chin pad that fits nicely to match. I would like to sell this all together with the custom pole base mount (lowered and two bolt setup) and with blowsion steer plate (JSS bearings) and straight bars and chin pad for $500

I have a -5 inch Goose pole, Rn Cable, 650sx pump with a PJS ripturn extended nozzle. You just have to be creative rigging it up. LOL
