Creative RE Purchasing
When i was tossing around the idea of going big bore, here is part of the quote that Art at Jetworks gave me.

250.00 for both sleeves
250.00 for both wiseco pistons
225.00 labor remove sleeves and bore cylinder for sleeves
78.00 bore new sleeves and hone to size and chamfer ports
368.00 full port job including transfer ports
68.00 bore cases for sleeves
Total $1239.00

On top of that add the price of a crank. Art recommends V force II reeds which can be purchased for $208 shipped from http://www.mositesmotorsports.com/ .

Then add your carb setup and cylinder head and seems like you'll still be under the cost of the team scream... Not knocking the team scream engine setup, just throwing out other ideas for you.

I think Art charged me $120 to port match my factory pipe ex manifold and head pipe also.

I am really leaning towards the team scream ported 760 cylinder and the buckshot 46s right now maybe atleast getting the x scream carbs $500 for their modified 44s instead of 325 for the 46 buckshots... what do you think? oh and an ada head, b pipe, and total loss

ok, probably scrap the buckshots the fresh 760 cylinder with new weiscos for $520 sounds pretty good...Yea, no.... wont the porting and a T/L or AM flywheel make up some of the low end im missing? im not trying to do flat water backflips here...

If you are going to freestyle or freeride I would stay away from the Buckshots. They are made for extended WOT runs and race course conditions. They lack low end performance IMO.

Kinda like getting both things you want a 760 cylinder and Team Scream (Chuckie) porting.... and Pistons!!! That cylinder looks topnotch and is ready to be bolted on!!!

Frank is a good guy....

I even think he may have been adding a protec head to the package... i think....

any other options besides OEM?

Crankworks? SBT??

Get an OEM crank rebuilt

Matt, I have two cranks I need rebuilt. My problem is Im willing to buy a Hotrods crank at 360.00 vs having one rebuilt at 450.
I can well justify the cost difference if the rebuilt one will come with new everything, that includes OEM bearing and RODS.
But the catch is the 25 bucks to ship each way.
Doess anyone have a solution?

Keep debating ,meanwhile back at the ranch, I have several dozen running around without a single failure,I am sold.

Thats the news I need to hear, Dan at Waterworks is telling me they are holding up good, even in race skis.

Ohh great now you tell me.. Or maybe its.. oh now I know.

Didnt mean to jack the thread. Having a Team Scream motor is a good idea if you go that route. They wont steer you wrong.

QuickMick, I believe Pro-Tec rebuilds cranks for a bit cheaper, but I may be wrong.
