ive always liked that fx-2 , but seems like it would be more work than its worth.

you would get cleaner subs and less resistance on re entrys with it converted like that. that handlepole bracket is like water-brakes a soon as it stabs the water. I'm currently in the process of developing a drop-in conversion bracket for a 550 nose piece for the same reason. as soon as I get it done and is functional, all of my js skis are getting it done.

I don't think I am at that level where my bracket will affect my ability to ride. It does look really cool though. Someone should make a drop in kit for it, modified hood and a lowered piece to glass in for the bracket area.

i dont think i want less resistance on nose stabs, thats just more chance of hitting bottom:eek:uch:. and who cares about subs.....i know i dont. but yes, stock fx-1 brackets are fugly.

i dont think a pole bracket will slow down 400 lbs+ of rider and ski

more than you realize.
somewhat of the experience is felt just skimming accross the water when you go from a regular grate to a scoop grate. if you're not ready for the difference, sometimes the effect will try and throw you through the handlepole just by letting off the throttle.
that handepole bracket sticks up many times over compared to a scoopgrate in relation to hydro-dynamics. so, yeah, it will slow you down. if you're used to doing subs with it in stock form, you will notice a world of difference in the way it performs when it's recessed.

Is that what it looked like when you bought it? Oops, duh, look at first page. How do you like the superjet pump?

Everything about this ski is awesome. It is so nice to just cruise through the white water with that big pump. It almost feels like another motor. I have ridden a few of the guys superjets, and they feel like boats and are too heavy for my liking. I can totally whip this thing around effortlessly.

This boat will be a great platform for me for years to come! Couldn't be any more grateful for the support I have received from LBE (Eddie), Fearlessnuts (Mark) and the Oside Crew.
