Supposedly Blowsion's One way valve leaks hardly at all.
The same thing can't be said about most scuppers and homo depot one ways.

That said, I got the Homo Depot version.

why the one way valve, unless it will be floating for some time, if not just get a scupper valve from x-metal or wam and cut a hole in the rear and one in the front, cut out the foam and you are done. When the foam gets wet it will drip dry between rides. I'm running two and have no problems, although I must keep an eye on the ski and run my bilges when needed, heck it makes it more exciting...

this is the one i got from home depot

its a 2 inch flotec valve. i think it was like 16 bucks.

if your gonna run something like this put it right behind the bulkhead.

i chose to run a scupper as well as for a little more protection against water surging up the pipe. but even holding the scupper open i get 0 water in my hull.

i compared this to the lowes valve and the lowes valve leaked like a sieve compared to this thing. i just filled them both up with water and the difference was night and day.

did you get the hole kit or did you just buy the valve? what does the kit come with, if you bought the kit?

Straight from Blowsion:

http://www.blowsion.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=AWCO161

Each pre-assembled kit includes explicitly detailed instructions (the time saving coring tool hints are worth the kit price alone), two Blowsion molded glueable urethane bulkhead and ski flanges for leakless sealing, recessed one way flow valve, special flex tubing ( allows for off center mounting unlike straight PVC tube scupper systems ) mounting epoxy and stainless fasteners.

Seriously? You don't run a PVC pipe, just a hole in the foam? That sounds nuts to me - you'll wish you spent a few dollars on some pipe when you have to defoam. I never heard of anyone leaving out the pipe before....
