Best way to tow two Superjets behind a boat?

seems like a good idea, but also seems like there would be a lot of stress on the the bow eye.

they are pretty strong...I have seen sluttys ski held suspended 15 feet in the air by the bow eye ONLY (actully, it may have been the stern eye......now that I think about it..)

regardless, I thnk it'd work if youwere able to pull at least half the ski up onto the platform..

I would feel bad if the bow eye coupler ripped out of the stern taking a lot of the shell with it.

I would also laugh.

. . . and also feel bad for having laughed.

when it ran on all 4 cylinders i was getting almost 30mph gps on that boat...but with only me a few other people, and fuel and two batteries on it(no skiis).

by the end of the season it only ran on two cylinders...we just used it as a transport vessel to the beach parties, and to get skiis past the 5mph zone...(given it only did 5 mph full throttle)

on two cylinders it wouldnt even get up on plane. i need to find a replacement motor for the boat real soon...summer is creeping up quick.

i have no idea how it would run with the 2 skiis...i got it up on plane once with 2 guys and 2 skiis, and fuel for both skiis...

i cant really give a realtime example cause i got the boat for free supposedly "blown up".....the guy said his kids ran it with straight gas and the oil pump failed...

i just ran premix fromt he time i got it and bypassed the oil pump but the crank was already toast when i got it...it lasted me two summers of fun...cant complain for free.:27:

Mac tools sells a set of those for about 1/2 the price of those.

We have towed a few standups before behind a boat but it was a bit bigger. We just tied the bow eye to the stern cleats directly with no slack. They were level with the bow eye when at rest. The ski can't sub the nose is held up when the boat takes off and it can't slam into the rear of the boat and tracks perfectly straight while under way. The only problem I see is that your swim platform might be a little low when sitting still. You might have to hoot it directly to the rear corners of the platform.

huh 30 mph . we have a old 90 hp on our hurricane boat now and it does 30 also. It came with a 115 yami that was blown up. Im think ing of putting some real power on it like a cheap used 225hp i found, just not sure if the boat will handle it

eekk 225...i think you will rip the back end of that pos right off...hurricanes are not the strongest boats out ther... i overloaded mine on and overnight camping trip on the boat and when i was hitting waves the boat was buckling in the middle...felt like it was going to snap in half....

i added a crapload of weight into mine by building benches in the back out of 3/4 ply and 2x4's

i also glassed in a crank winch from a trailer to the floor and glassed a couple holes...and glassed in some plywood to mount the drivers seat.

i got the boat free cause the guy said his kids ran it with no oil in the resevoir.

i have been premixing it for 2 years and she is still kicking on two cylinders as of now...but the crank is shot and it takes some carb&choke to get her started.

needless to say ive been searching craigslist for a late 80's evinrude/johnson 88/115/140 so i can swap all my electricals, feul delivery and lower unit onto that and have the right compression again with a fully functional crank.

im still impressed it hit 30 mph though with that crapass motor on it

i saw a few guys hang on the back of the sxr pump out and flyying around 25 or so this could work with some padding depends on height of boat swim step while under way,
also is it ok to tow a ski around 5-10mph as far as pump hookup and the pistons going up and down without lube for extended times or is it almost impossible for the water force to spin prop with scoop grate

i like SHOUFF idea with the double side raft -if it is strong enough. I would add a few of those water tubes to hold the skis in place in each bay. The you can let the air out of the raft to put the skis in the water, and if you have a could portable compressor with a long hose, you can blow the raft up under the skis to dock them in the raft. this way you wouldn't have to worry about rolling them out of the raft just deflate and inflate in the water. my two cents - this way you wouldn't have to worry about water engine into the engine.
