Got hooked up by a buddy on an Odyssey last year which took a crap this year unfortunately I lost my reciept and can't get it warrantied so I need a new battery. Looking for a sealed battery with roughly the same dimensions as the odyssey (so it fits in my WDK battery box) but for less money, also need it to be able pump a motor full of water, weight isn't an issue, reliability is. The cheaper the better.

They sell the Powersports AGM batteries at Advance Auto. They have one of the best prices around and they are the same as Deka's just with different decals. I think the ETX-16 is around $85.

$48 shipped for the adventure power looks pretty good, is 160cca enough (looks like the DekaETX9 only has 120cca?)

This one is $61 shipped and supplies 200CCA

I'm most likely going with the Cycletron II. It's the AGM by Interstate, which is made by Yuasa. I've had good luck with the regular Cycletron. The Interstate Battery in Corpus is 2nd to none in customer service.

Jetworks KB35XC - one of the best battery deals out there and great battery.
$100 if I am not mistaken. You might be able to get a better price buying from Jetworks directly.
It's a bit taller than the Odyssey, so I am not sure if it would your battery box.

I bought 2 of the Adventure Power batteries at the beginning of last season and only got 2-3 months out of them before the terminals corroded up so bad i couldn't get a good connection on them. The terminals are cheap and soft as well.

Yuasa AGM battery is still tops on my list but is also the most expensive, I wouldn't waste my money on another Odyssey. I am loving my new Deka's but it's too soon yet to really say they are any good. I bought both my new ones off ebay for $54 shipped each which was even cheaper than picking up the ETX-9 from Advance Auto.

Parks Auto Parts just picked up the Powersports brand of AGM Batteries as well and should have some better pricing.

I wasn't reccomending the ETX-9, I was just showing the battery i bought and the problems I had with them.

Personally I have had more terminal failure than cell failure so I have expanded my criteria out to include rugged terminals and the Deka meets that very nicely.

The Advance auto parts store has the best price at $79 with free shipping but the site must be down as I can't on to it right now. Keep checking the link...

Anybody know what the difference between their different battery models is?

KB35 KB35XC Battery $ 79.50
ST16 Sealed-Tech Battery $ 64.95
ST16LB Sealed-Tech Battery $ 64.95
ST16CLB Sealed-Tech Battery $ 64.95

Jet works is the shiiizzzz.

I found my jetworks battery in a salvaged ski in 2006 so I have no idea how old it is, and its been going strong since. I left it in my cold garage for the last 2.5 years untouched while I was overseas, came back and its still perfect and ready to go for the summer.
