yeah... what he said.

the gel version of it works pretty well too... i think I like it better than the regular stuff... less sticky strands all over the place

I used the gel last time I turfed, and I liked it also. WAY less messy. Also noticed they have two types, red and green. The green said it was specifically for neoprene and rubber. My padding I used was neoprene. I can't remember if I used that one, or the red... Either way. The regular was cheaper, and a sure bet. I've used it many times with great results.
My local Lowes store finally started carrying DAP Weldwood in the gallon containers.

Also tape the area around where the turf is going so the glue doesn't get on the paint. (acetone will clean up the glue but why clean up when you can prevent)

i dont tape, you dont need to, the glue is dry when you stick it so theres no mess from the exess you cut off. just dont get crazy with the brush lol

will, i am almost certian that you used the RED...even though i wasn't there. :headbang:

Your correct. I think I actually bought the green just to try it, and it was bad, had hardened up. When I went back I bought the red again. That stuff is great.

Have any of you used the adhesive backed hydroturf to compare? I've had really good luck with the adhesive backed stuff on my blaster, but I haven't done any crazy curves like you'd have on footholds and things.

I haven't used the contact cement so I can't give a valid comparison.

thanks all for posting...

Fyr - thats really a nice photo!! Would really be nice if the background was not washed out and you still had lighting effect with the ski.. Say an old SLR with Kodachrome 64 - 1 to 1 1/2 F Stop under..
