Best impeller and intake grate for stock Superjet

So I have a 1991 Superjet with a 701 in it all stock what would be the best impeller and intake grate i do all flat water stuff water is sometimes pretty choppy tho don’t care to much if I lose some bottom end looking for some low end punch

If you choose small hub instead of the Hooker then a Skat-Trak 10/18 or lower top pitch will be a nice addition along with a modified stock intake gate. The stock mod is easy to do, just cut out the center rung of the grate to open up the channel and sharpen the scoop side with a more aggressive downward angle. Before I could afford to kick out cash on my ski I did as many free stock mods as possible and always appreciated the gains. You might also like having some faster steering response which is a free mod too, just drill a new hole for the steering cable as close to the nozzle as possible without impacting the ball and connector into the nozzle at full throw, it will help spice up the steering a heck of a whole lot. A cheaper option to a 9/15 Hooker is a 08+ SJ oem impeller. A Worx 201 or 205 will work just fine.

How big of a difference is the stock 08+ impeller from the 9/15 hooker is it really worth the extra money or will I be satisfied with just the stock one 08+ one

On a stock to slightly modified boat, there is probably little difference, the downside is affordable, stock 08+ impellers have proven difficult to find lately so you are probably stuck with buying aftermarket.
