You'll get lots of opinions, as they are a personal preference item.
My advice would be to go to rides & get-togethers and try some footholds out personally.
But I see you're in Michigan, and it's about December.

If you're putting together a backup ski, I'd recommend skipping that and devoting the money & effort at keeping the main ski more reliable.

has anybody had any luck with waterdawgs revs? there going in an fx1 and i dont know if they will fit. any advise?

thanks jeff

You'll get mixed opinions on them as with any foothold. I have 24/7's but I've ridden a couple skis with REVS. I like them. They're more like a binding as they hold you're entire foot as opposed to a toe hold and provide a ton of ankle support. They do require a little bit of trimming, but nothing to extreme.

If you decided to get REVS, sxrguysxigirl had a set for sale for 75 bucks. Think he might still have them.

i have 24-7 in my square nose ,they will be coming out in next few weeks as they hurt my feet
i have revs in my round nose , very large recomend adding plenty of padding just to make your foot snug in the hold
my bud has rickters i think thats what will be replacing my 247s
his are cumfie and snug

That is a great concept idea....
I would prefer to have "cups" at the end to secure the foot for tricks though...
But the rest is pretty good Man.....

I am looking for new footholds I had the xft and now was thinking of new ones as I am rebuiding now the xft leave no room in the tray so the wife made me build her a ski so she can ride I am thinking of the wcf they seem to leave more room also eazier to get a hold of than xft.
