Super Jet Basic SN build !Completed! *Tuning time*

nice...getting closer. I think on my build, since I cut up the nose I really spent a ton of time on the pole mount area so that will work in your favor.

Getting closer!

Almost done, but ran into an issue. The instructions for the Coffman pipe say not to run anything less then a Solas 14-17 and I am running a 13/15. =)

Just have to instal the pole, finish turfing the tray and add a bilge switch to the dash, then comes the tuning game..

Tuning single carb is pretty easy. Just takes a while trying all the different combinations. =/

before the bore and with a 44mm carb it only had a 125H jet.. I am going to start with:
150M
120L
25psi (2.0ns & 95g)

I think 150 is too much and I will end up around 142.5 - 145M but figure it is better to start high.

99.9% done! Well have some small things I need to do still but once my wife finishes this last piece of turf it will be ready to go.

on my 46 and 762 with the sizzler, im at 150m 125p and 2.0 ns with dull silver spring.

I am as well ^ and it hits pretty well...I have a b pipe with a 760 cylinder. My issue is there is no porting done and the 760 port timing is crappy. I will fix that shortly with dual 48's, a 62t case cut to fix the timing, domes cut to match the new piston pop, and an ADA Head. That should get me to where I want to be.

^This^ is going to turn your SJ into a beast!

Ian...my ski is not quite beast status, however I am only willing to take it so far based on money. I agree she pulls hard, but lacks a little right off idle. I describe it as thin on the power band off idle, than kicks like a bronco after you get past that soft spot in the throttle. I am just trying to get rid of the soft spot. Porting alone might do it...and I might just try that. However I feel like if I do that, I'll still wonder what the duals and better cases would bring. Hmm...maybe I'll just do the porting since it wont cost anything and would take an afternoon. I bet that'd wake her up.
