Good deal man! I hope you got to some glass work. Boy this is a pain in the rear man. Between the Holiday's, a full time plus work schedule and a million home improvement projects and I am starting to lose my patience.
I woke up Sunday morning at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep so I finally got up at 4:15am and decided to put in a few hours before the wife and I hit church. I spent that entire 3.5 hours shaping the foam on the nose after already spending a few hours putting it together and gluing it in place. Took me forever to get it to look how I wanted it and it still wasn't exactly what I expected but I did end up liking it. I already had a buddy coming over in the afternoon to help on the project so I wanted to have the nose ready for glass work. He and I spent another 4 hours together sanding the tray area as well as laying the first layer of glass on the nose.
No, I used the foam I put in the bottom of the tray (polystyrene) as I needed it rigid so I could shape it to make the form for the glass . I only used the spray foam for the gunwhales as I couldn't justify blowing the $$$ on the pour foam for such a small amount needed and I had the canned crap. I really didn't want to use much of that stuff as I know it isn't the best with water.

Pic #2 first layer of glass on the foam. The Barney coloring is duct tape I had laying around that I used over the foam to make for a cleaner finish.
