Dude, I plan on being right there with you trying all I can at wavedaze.
From years of doing tricks in various sports I'll give 2 bits of advice.
1. Have someone videotape your attempts. You'll see exactly what you are doing wrong and when.
2. Try to do everything (e.g. staying tucked, cranking the bars, etc) at 120% of what you think you need to do. You can always back off it on the next attempt if you take it too far, but you won't take it too far, trying for 120% when you are learning usually gets you 90% of the way there.
Good luck.
brian hes standing all the way in the back of his tray:fing02:
On the 550 (which works 10X better on a SJ stock for all I care) You need to hit the wave FAST like 35-45, I have a death grip on the finger throttle which keeps me committed. When you hit the wave fast you run into the wave when it forms its lip and a pretty semi scary face begins to form. It is the scariest to hit but it is the MONEY spot for a 550 or hell any ski. When I am about to hit the base of the wave before my launch, I do a SMALL prehop to off set my weight in the direction I am rolling to then crank the bars all the way up the wave to then Immediately after take off from the lip I throw my head towards my bondline and do my best to keep the pole down. Stay tucked in and hold on the the bitter and or sweet end. Speed gets you the height and the max speed on your rotation that the pump can deliver. Watch my video to see my small prehop into the wave. In a way its not necessary but its a great way for me to set and commit my body into the roll.

dude ur haulin balls! thats sick!
I could never get past 3/4 for ages. I found I had to make a real conscious effort to really twist my upper body on initial take off to start the rotation
Been hitting them too early..............
Trying to learn on smaller stuff so I dont kill myself, and seem to hit them before they peak and get too big. Surf has been HUGE the couple rides.
Did get a :barrel: today though!
And lots of 3/4 to 7/8 that left my leg purple:haha:
Went BIG on a couple and still didnt make it all the way on those..............not getting the spiral off the wave like I should.
Time will tell................but these beatings are getting old!:shocked:

Sounds Familiar ! I must of said that 100 times last weekend.. LOL
Congrats on Pulling It !:Banane09::beerchug:
Yeah, but if I hit them later they were bigger than what I wanted to hit...........gotta walk before I run. If I go big and get jacked up I'll be out for a while, vs picking some small, steep waves to learn on, which I didnt have either trip out![]()
