the only problem with the jetworks valve like that, is it is easier for the water to bypass than to ever OPEN the valve and get in the waterbox, unless its adjuster very loosely.

I think ive got 3 shims/washers in mine, and it opens whenever I pull the trigger.

You'll be fine with single cooling. The picture Shonuff posted is for dual cooling. When I ran single cooling I had one line from the pump to the manifold. One line from the head to the bottom of the head pipe. One line from the top of the head pipe to the stinger with a by pass T in the middle to a pisser.

You can also go from the top of the head to the top of the head pipe. Then bottom of head pipe to stinger. That's the way factory pipe recommends in their instructions.

agreed... and i had this issue the other day... but i run dual cooling. so my motor stayed nice and cool but the stuff after my chamber on the pipe line did not.

the clamp on the in line on the back of my ski fell off so it was only shooting some water through the pipe. i noticed the pisser was weak and figured it just needed to be back flushed when i was done riding.

it had enough to keep the headpipe cool so i didnt melt a coupler, but it got my waterbox and evertyhing past that so hot because it didnt have enough pressure to open my flow control.

needless to say i just installed a new steering cable and im sure you know why.:ugh:

i have the flow control that you can turn to adjust so it is a bit easier to tune mine to the amount of water going through it than the washer style.

ah, thanks guys makes much more sense now. I think will run what accbr posted, but I have two fittings on my ada head, so can I just run one out through a pisser? I also have the flow control pro that you can adjust. Should I run a restricter to make sure water opens the fcv? Or what if I just run the line out of the second head fiting out the pisser, and then no split on the fcv into the stinger?

run the valve over board ski on trailer, and simply watch when it opens, adjust it where you want it, and then clamp it to the stinger..

yes on the head routing, thats exactly how mine is.

That'll work. Just put restrictors in the lines to get the water temp around 120. I didn't have to run an overboard line off the head when I ran single cooling.

Hey Car, is that a square it went in? looks like it, I have been trying to install my pipe for the last month doing some here and there while I waited on parts and defoamed the ski and am nearing completion just need to run the cooling lines, This has been a helpful thread. I remember you writing about the ribs and I sanded them smooth to get the extra clearance but its tight as a mother where the headpipe meets the pipe, like zero clearance.

ok, what do these restrictors look like, and where do I get them. How many do I need and what lines do I put them in, to get the water up to temp?

They are called nylon spacers. They are white plastic 3/8" OD with various different size holes in the middle. You can get them at any hardware store in the nuts and bolt section.

ok, so looks like a little pill shape with a hole in the center? How many do I need, and what lines do I put it in?

I picked up 2 of each (1mm,2mm,3mm,4mm). Its up to you to figure out which one you need and works with your setup. The idea is to restrict the water just enough for it to reach about ~120*.

found the spacers! Got to ride it today! Man with all my parts its great now! Should have been like this from the factory! Not sure if my tunning is dead on, but plugs look ok! I"m not sure I have it restricted enough to get temps up. The pipe is warm to the touch, but not hot, water doesn't sizzel like factory pipes directions say.
