I searched for posts under that name here and saw that that user was banned.

At the bottom of his email it says: "everyone else > madmat"

Is this the same madmat from here?

I got an interesting email from him which leads me to believe that they are not the same because I'm pretty sure the "madmat" here on the X is a pretty cool guy... Just wanted to check it out to be sure.

did some poking around and I think it's some guy named Andrew (?)...

Here's part of the message he sent me:

"dude...heres the deal...whatever u do DO NOT tell anybody about that place..its is not a place for jetskis...especially 5 at a time...i was there when u guys were there last time...i would have said something to you but the surf was pumping and i was in a hurry..im serious..show up with 5 skis at a time again and i promise that will be the last time u ride there...i know everybody and i am there almost everyday..i know the rangers/lifeguards all the local surfers and kiters..i promise you all it will take is for me to tell those guys you are from LA and they will be sending you home...go to pismo with the rest of the kooks..you have been warned..and FYI last time u were there you got lucky it wasnt blowing 40knots..from march-june it blows everyday (worse than pismo) and in the summer its packed with surfers and you wont be able to ride...dont bother coming back and take those ****ing pictures off x-h2o"

No matter who you are or where you are from... You can always tell a hippy surfer trying to defend his/her turf. I don't think that guy was having a bad day, that's the way they are. They used to have turf wars in Corpus according to this one surfer I lived next to one time. It took me along time to come to terms with my anger, but I'm well now. When they see you coming they spread out and try and block up more space, and don't even try and beach your ski as they will come lecture you about imaginary 300'+ distance minimus you must keep and how they will "kick your @$$" next time. But I know the law and abide by it, it's no wake within 50ft of anything in TX. and last but not least, they start telling you about how your "jetski smoke" is making them sick and they cannot stand the water anymore because it smells like gasoline and the sea kittens (fish) are getting poisoned from carbon monoxide....

A few surfers are really cool, nice people, but most feel the calling to defend the surf and geek out like a house cat looking at a sea gull when they see a ski.
Oh well, they wore me down over a few years time and now I tend to go way down the beach from the channel or ride the windward side of the jetties.

Andrew Morin...That dik is a piece of chit....his last email to me he claimed he is so good he "already gets paid to ride and has only been on a ski for 4 years" (if that is true....if he even got a free hood or something...I will sell everything because this sport would really be a massive joke then... because his pump never even leaves the water) and that he "rides every day with the best riders in the world and that everyone else sucks and is a poser.

Someone closer LEVEL this punk azz clown....

EVERYONE that can go ride.....go ride that spot A LOT!!!

amazing what you can get when you suck off the right people. andrew is a master of posing. without the help of the actual best riders in the world dude wouldnt claim :):):):)! the ego on him is out of this world.

I was coming out this Fall anyway and this is where I want to ride before or after hitting Oregon....sounds real nice!

Its bad enough to have surfers threatening you. (Have dealt with my share of that). Never thought I'd see the day were we have fellow STANDUP riders calling localism and threatening other STANDUP riders.
