You mean with the ski flat, and the rotation axis vertical? Never seen one, but it would be cool. I'm not sure how you'd do it though, since a big enough wave will throw your nose in the air....

i was just thinking about this the otherday. i use to freesyle bmx and got 360s and back flips down on bikes. :headbang: its got to be one of my favorites over a big set of doubles. i would love to see it on a ski

in order to keep the wave from pitching the nose too high you can just bring your legs to you chest. i think the hard part about it is, if you bring your knees too high while spinning you just do an over rotated stab, and i think that if you straignted your legs out it would slow or stop the spin.

im sure its been pulled on accident.

Yes it has been done.

Jason Stoyer does them, Malone Does them, and someone else whom I cant remember a face or name.

They never are truely flat like a BMX bike but they are flat 360s. Malone has a few scenes in "RAMPT" in Nigagra where he does them.

malone doesn't do any flat 360's in rampt. All he does is overrotated nose stabs. I've never seen or done an actual flat 360 but I've tried. you turn the bars the opposite direction you throw your weight. The problem is that the ski will always flatten out in the air, so you have to hit the wave real late. I've made it about 270 degrees, but i stopped doing them cuz of the landings, especially after sicki broke his heel. You don't need footholds to try em either.

Like I said its not completely flat but its a damn near perfect 360. Everything in this sport is just a base off another trick.

BR is justa over rotated bronco, nose stab is under rotated roll, 360 is over rotated stab....

don't start with me dude. a flat 360 is nothing like a stab. I don't consider an overrotated nose stab a 360, i consider it an overrotated nose stab. Or as LBE likes to call them, the "Militia Twist"

Name sounds cool.... What would the opposite be called? A BR while pointing straight up and landing on tail? Like the ski stays in one place and you just kinda rotate aroud the center axis?

Awesome...that is funny as hell.

I was trying them like 8-9 months or so, and I got close for a while. But the problem is when you spin flat or close to it you also land that way. And if you make it all the way around you are cool, but come up short and your inerta is still moving forward but the ski is sideways...leads to badly sprained ankles. Vince Colft does something close to a 360 that is almost flat and he more or less told me that if you hit the wave later so translate more of your momentum up as opposed to forward you will not get hurt as much. But he stopped doing them because he was rolling his ankles alos.

Man...Eddie, Mike, Vince, Sicki...WTF we were all pushing all the time....where are you guys :frown:

Waiting for winter to break, riding out flat spells, things you guys would'nt know about:biggrin:

I can't flip but thought a backflip sideways would make a 360 that you could have momentum coming out of.

What about trying to land a litte nose first? I mean a 360 doesnt have to be perfectly flat. Could always drop the nose more. Seems like you would do a 360 like you would a stab, only with a 360 spin and not so much of a BR spin
