another....fiberglass question????

I figured I would work on the ski today, and I had a few questions for you guys. Do I need to sand off all of the blue jell coat in the areas I want to re-enforce in the foot box area? Or will the new glass lay over the top of it if I scuff well? I planned on putting 2 layers of 10oz in the footbox. Should I do that your just go with 1 layer of 17oz. I have both materials already.

you have to grind off all the gel...


by footbox, Im guessing you mean the tray?


I'd use 2 layers of 10 oz...I just reinforced the tray of my REV not too long ago....I used 3-4 layers of 6oz (i think)
