Yes, I have the JSU head.
The stock carbs probably have the best low end response with stock reeds, but with the bigger carbs and reeds that thing would be friggin insane on top with the drypipe.
lol, guess you made it back ok. I'm taking the mason ski to George tomorrow for some love..........No kidding.
My plan was to send off the cylinder to have the port work done and run the 44's more than likely. I wouldn't touch it for now. It should hit as hard as most of the ski's you run with.....used to beat the crap out of shawn's ski's....haha
That explains the extra cooling fitting going thru the hull.FYI. The pump in that ski is out of a 750sxi. I beat the crap out of the skat impellar that was in that thing and didn't have the tool to remove the impellar. Just swapped out with a pump I already had and it had the solas 13/18.
sameHmm. That pump looks pretty nice for being that old.
Are the SXR pumps pretty much the same?
Probably not needed on that with the huge 1/2" lines feeding the motor. We used the second fitting on the dry manifold for a flusher fitting..Never did the dual cooling. Probably should though
I kinda did the same thing to my square, only it involved malt liquor and whatever spray paint was at my friend's house.I pulled all of the bling off of the ski before I sold it and put it on the GF's ski.
I felt the cylinder after running for a while, definitely warmer than the square.Luke, when you reroute the pisser from the back of the hull that comes off the head, isolate it so you can see how warm the water is coming off the head, that will tell you if you need the dual cooling or not. The water coming from the chamber will give you a false reading.
On the plus side they don't take as much energy to ride (flatwater anyways, Idk about surf)
