There is a defiinite black could over my house this year. I have not had a single day on the lake without major wrenching. When I tried to hop on my ski to blow off some steam it wouldn't start. Bad sss. Anybody got one?

on the runaway. Have you looked to make sure the butterflies are synced????? I chased an air leak on a buddies ski for hours. ended up the couplers and gotten a tad bit loose. The rear butterfly was off from the front, causing the ski to "runaway".

Is the Novice female rider strong enough to turn wrenches ?

j/k...that sux

thought I read before that backfires and hydrolocks can damage carb diaphragms...

check cooling lines, I had a ski that had a plugged line after the motor and it would heat up and act weird sorta like you are describing. but you could def tell it was hot.

all else fails go back to the start. check it all from the bottom up and replace all that questionable bs on the way.

ohhh good call........long time ago we used some air compressor hose for cooling line...the inner shroud woudl get hot, melt and close the line off.....was a sneaky problem!

That has been me from 2009-2010. Late 2010 I finally got 95% of the gremlins taken care of..... Still got some funny carb issues going on. Like when I roll, the ski will bog on me sometimes when I try and get going.

The most questionable bs is the crank at this point. I think I will try replacing everything else first. The most questionable is the most expensive biggest pita to replace. It is a new oem crank from xscream too.

ummmm, dont know how that could give you runaway issues. How is the fuel level? I have noticed mine will act funny when the pickups start sucking air.

Fuel level was full. Everyone cross your fingers for me with new fuel lines and checking the cooling lines.

The crank is questionable to me because of the weird clicking noise it was making.

If the crank took a dump after 15-20 minutes of run time and one sunk motor, I'll never buy one of those cranks. I've sunk every engine I've owned so far and haven't damaged the crank yet. I was pretty dumb in the past too and kept cranking when it was full of water hoping it would turn over.

If the crank sounds and feels smooth and it checked out on all dimensions per the manual, I can't see how it could be bad.

Separate or not, it could still suck air. You also need to get that chamber leak taken care of. No telling what effect that is having. Put something clean and white in front of the 'fix' and after running it for a bit you will know if it is truly sealed up.

Unrelated thought for BK>>> Check out your hs check valves if you haven't already. If they are good try doubling them up. I had a similar issue and that took care of it.

If the primer is sucking air at the flame arrestor adapter and it has a dedicated line from the tank instead of tapping into your main supply line, then it wouldn't matter if it was sucking air or not.

check to seee if you tank is presurazisng i had a prob the other day every time i rolled would bog down turned out the tank wasnt pressurising had a small air leak blow into the one way valve until cant blow anymore leave for an hour or two turn filler cap if there pressure it ll sound like opening up a can of coke
