Whats your plan for the breather hoses into the pole? Single?, Double? How do you think you are going to secure them? 5200 dripped all over around the carbon I would think would seem messy. I am just trying to figure out what I am going to do When I get mine.

I went with dual pole breathers & dual hood breather. I drilled the hole small so the hose fits tight & then 5200 on the bottom (inside the hull) around the breather. The XS1000 pull A L O T of air into the hull so you really need the extra hoses.

Please do me a favor and take a few pics of this area when you get a chance. I am probably going to have all my ducks in a row by x-mas, to get tems some cash to start mine.

Just got the tank back, man it's going to work perfect... We cut it down from 3 gal to 2 gal & the battery fits right in the front. ETX9 or ETX14 will fit, installed strap tabs for the battery & the tank. Going to put some turf on the bottom of the tank & some turf near the battery....

Should have the drive shaft problem fixed tomorrow, I hope! Gotta finish the build tomorrow so I can water test Friday..... My RN surf build I need to start next week

Thanks Guys....I'm really happy with the tank.. When we rode Iceman's ski it had a 3 gal tank & the battery mounted near the rear bulkhead. So I dropped to 2 gal & 7lb battery so the weight is the same & you can get at the battery. It sucked having it in the back right corner, Lucas has the right idea having it in the back left corner. So much room back there when u run this dry pipe setup.

Any other Superfreak/Dry pipe guys need a tank I can make more, lol I can already see area's to improve....

Great build, and I like that gas tank idea!!!!

Tem and I spent hours discussing the battery Location but with the PF dry pipe and that 3 Gallon Jazz Products gas tank we had no choice but to utilize the area under the exhaust tube back of the hull............

The only 2 disadvantages in having the battery under the exhaust tube is the fact you can only use a smaller battery and its actually a Pain in AZZ to get to it..

I hate running the smaller batteries and prefer the ETX9 because of my MSD T.L ....... So I think I might need one of those gas tanks....

Let me know if the battery is mounted securely and does not move around during backflips or any other tricks ....

and PM the price of the tank to me plz!!!

Thanks...

Quick thought: Maybe you can ask your welder to weld a battery tray down by the front lip to hold the battery in.....

It looks like you had enough room for the battery without cutting into the tank. Is it an optical illusion?

Basically I took a 3 gal tank, cut 2 in off the bottom so it would sit straight up. Then cut into the bottom of the tank the size of a etx14 battery, & welded everything up. So yes the battery sits inside the front of the tank, but leaves the battery terminals in front away from the tank so no way it can touch the tank. Its covered with rubber top/bottom/back so should be good to go. Welded some strap loops on the tank...

What!!!!!! You mean you guys are actually going to put chin pads on your skis???? I don't think I have seen a superfreak with a chin pad yet......
