WD is $650 shipped to fla. comes with $200 bracket

Yep, even cheaper w/o the bracket. I dont think the WD price can be beat currently. But I dont honestly know the differences in craftsmanship. I have seen some of all hoods fail (except 24/7) and I have also seen some that have not. I just bought a Wammer and am simply praying it holds up. I can say this about the Wammer, the workmanship is no where near the 24/7.

fit and finish on the wammer is about the best I have ever seen..... I have owned 2 Wammers, 1 Blowsion............ The blowsion was kinda rough where the liner and shell comes together.......

I love the look of my WF four hold hood.

I asked for a pancake proof surf hood, so it wieghts about the same as a stock hood with primer, paint and graphics.:purr:

If Waterdawg's hood kit is $600 with a bracket, nobody else is even close in value except for maybe XFT (I'm not sure what his hood costs, but I think it's close).

Also Jeff might have prepreg hoods now for the Superjet, which would be the best of the best. Probably for close to a grand though.

My buddies 24/7 hood weighs in at 13-14 lbs. Most hoods weigh between 11-13lbs from what I understand.

Does anyone know what the prepreg ATP hood weighs?

I make each hood individually based on the riders needs. Indestructable!! Just ask Pete!! The weight will vary anywhere from 10 lbs to 15lbs. I have a hood that I run on my practice boat that weight 7.5 lbs, but I would not reccommended for everybody. If your looking to save money, than you should go with the diablo!. My hood kit (hood and nose piece) retails for $895 and does not come with any handlepole bracket. Most of my customers deside to run the x-metal poles which uses the dual breather system and requires the special bracket.

The Hood on my ski weighs in at 8lbs which is fine for me being a gereatric.
However, the hoods we make for customers are mostly around 9.5lbs these we consider strong enough for any form of Freestyle. At 8lbs to be honest you are pushing your luck. In our experience it's not how extreme the tricks are it's how bad you get them wrong when learning that does the damage. The hoods I'm speaking of are all Carbon Prepreg I wouldn't even consider selling a Fibreglass hood with Polyester resin at anything approaching these weights, it will break.

You really don't want to know:bigeyes:
They retail over here at £1500 that's for the full kit inc bracket and hardware. We don't make any excuses for the price as we cannot do anything about the volatile carbon prices and the man hours alone are high. Each part of the Hood kit is bagged several times during the lamination and oven cured under pressure for 10 hours. It takes us a full two weeks to make one Hood kit.
This is how bad it is, when we call one of our Pre-preg suppliers they cannot tell us the price until after their weekly price meeting! Their biggest customer of course is the Aerospace industry.
Add that to the exchange rate now approaching $2 to 1GBP makes our parts very expensive to all US customers, the only slight relief is US customers don't pay our VAT (Value Added Tax). So in short I seriously doubt anyone in the US would want to pay that amount for a Hood kit no matter how good it was.

Steve-Seen pics of your work, looks good, keep it up.

Sanford- It's easy just e-mail us, let us know what you are after, we will let you know prices and shipping options and also how to order, this can be fax, e-mail or telephone.

I've seen your work and I am very impressed!:hail: No doubt the price justifies the amount of work you guys put into every part. For example, it takes me about 2 days just to assemble and fit the hood not including the amount of time it takes to hand lay the parts.
