Rayce used to make a race weight kit
i have it in my 02 SJ and works great
i think i have the 10# kit, two heavy weights, i was ok with one weight most of the time
2 of them made subs WAY to easy and actually somewhat violent upon impact, i wouldn't do it now at my old age lol with two of them
I then went with the blowsion rear hull extenders, which basically did the same thing as add the weights, but has more of an impact on cornering, stability, etc, personally i have a VERY hard time riding a ski without them, and when people ride mine, they have a puzzled look on their face like WOW there is alot of motor but the nose stays planted, then comes the bump to the leg and WTF are these things lol, but i do warn people in advanced, especially light people
being 250#'s, and figure a good 300+ with gear on, water, etc i need the front downforce so to speak (no a gay nascar wing is not needed lol)
I also have the JD extended ride plate
If i am not mistaken when we reinforced my hull, Paul also added a small amount of weight in the nose as well
i haven't used the Rayce weights in a long time since we did the extenders and reinforcement work
i can also tell the difference when the fuel starts running down, especially when i am at the "fumes" level lol
not sure if Raymond is still making the Rayce weights, but man what a really nice design, plus you can stick the weights between the motor mounts as ballast weights too
that i did not need, nor did i try
before finding the old SN extinguisher mount, Phil and I were gonna design a fire extinguisher mount to use the Rayce bracket
