300sx

I started a thread on the other site but they only keep pix for so long.

Should have started it here in the first place.

Probably going bigger on the engine in mine next year, but the 650 does pretty well in that ski and you gotta start somewhere.

Where are the weak points on the sx hull?

I hate fabbing! Sanded joining parts. Not going to lie, lot's of work so far. Mix up some glass in the morning and set it in place.

I remember reading about crabs 750 how he run without a cylinder base gasket to lower port timing for better low end, I kinda wished i tried that on my 750 before i gave up on it. A 750 built right will scream with the longer stroke. That ski is going to be a handful!

I can see 300sx prices going up now, lol. Poor mans bob.

okay. thats what i figured was shorter hull and easier to trick on... hmmm there is one cheap by me right now. may not be a bad winter project

rofl my 750sx porposes enough :p im in love with my 750, how it rides and handles. after riding a 701 superjet and an sxr and a few other modded ski's i like my 750. an sxr is sweet superjet i actually want too fond of.

Im interested to see some numbers, overall length, width and height and tray dimensions

weight of a stripped 300 sx hull with hood?

for refrence the BOB hull measures: (from their site)
78 1/2 long
26 1/2 wide
24 tall

and the tray is
17 1/2 X 28 1/2

75 lbs

just curious....

I'm shooting for under 80 lb's for the hood, hull and pole. I will put it on the scales tonight for ya.

When you cut the 750 pump out go ahead and cut all the way up and around the motor mounts. You get to keep the battery tray too. Wish I would have done it that way, ahhh well.

can't wait to see it done man. im looking for a backflip/barrel roll machine for next year. so the bottom strakes on the hull all measure up nicely? looks like it was meant to be. love it man.
