1994 Yamaha SuperJet 700 CDI replacement/rebuild. We have a crank no spark condition.
This is what it says on the CDI:
6M6–01
F8T13173
4826
Jet Ski Solutions rebuilt our ignition coil and wires, but the condition persists.
I assumed that I burned out the Lighting Coil on the stator from running two bilge pumps. So I removed it before testing and bought and installed a cheap Chinese Stator and packaged up the OEM stator to send to Jet Ski Solutions for them to rebuild.
But with the cheap Chinese stator the crank no spark condition persists.
The cheap Chinese stator VAC output is as follows with battery charger/starter plugged in:
Charge coil: 77--79 VAC
Pulse coil: 5VAC but I don't have an Analog VM but my Innova 3420 pulses red when cranking.
Lighting coil: 5.5 VAC with one lead on one green and other lead on other green
So now I am thinking it is the CDI.
