hi,
after a long searching about that here and have all the stuff for the kawi conversion, i'm thinking about another road.
the cons on the kawi conversion (for me) are :
that's why i first go with the kawi pump conversion.
but looking on the side of the 144 pump
the problem are :
need ajustment to fit the intake grate but seems not impossible.
then swap the nozzle for the protec one or stay stock
reinforce pump tunnel by the inside where you grind to fit the pump and pump shoe.
Tilt can be added with a x2 trim that seems to fit the protec nozzle weel.
and there you are :bananapowerslide:
What do you think about that ?
up to you if you find some things i've forget .
after a long searching about that here and have all the stuff for the kawi conversion, i'm thinking about another road.
the cons on the kawi conversion (for me) are :
- no wear ring cheap and easy to change.
- no fast prop change.
- old stuff hard to find clean
- no magnum available (or custom build and far from cheap)
- need to swap bearing for the shaft.
- cheap
- stuff is easy to find
- highly documented thanks to the X :arms:
that's why i first go with the kawi pump conversion.
but looking on the side of the 144 pump
the problem are :
- stock pump shoe can be only bored to 130
- the ride plate need to be ajusted or the pump housing grinded down a little

need ajustment to fit the intake grate but seems not impossible.
then swap the nozzle for the protec one or stay stock
reinforce pump tunnel by the inside where you grind to fit the pump and pump shoe.
Tilt can be added with a x2 trim that seems to fit the protec nozzle weel.
and there you are :bananapowerslide:
- Fast prop swap
- removable wear ring (i ride in salt water)
- upgradable to a magnum
What do you think about that ?
up to you if you find some things i've forget .
