I do. And I use it exactly how you said. On all my case bolts and engine block bolts that I don't want Anti sieze on, they get covered with 1211. Everything else gets anti-sieze. All Salt water skis need something to coat all mating surfaces, especially bolts.

Anyone use 1211 on gaskets other than cases such as intake/exhaust manifold? I know some builders who ride saltwater use it in every bolt application almost as a anti seize.

Thiughts?

1211 is good on each side of the flywheel cover and on the nose and oring of your starter. We install intake and exhaust gaskets dry, without issue in saltwater use.

Some of us Tampa guys use a THIN layer of grease on intake gaskets which makes them reusable...cradle bolts get bad salwater corrosion especially if you don't use anti-seize or something on the outer shank area of bolts where it is surrounded by the cradle.

Sounds good, I used it on every bolt that could have saltwater intrusion as well as on the starter motor o-ring, and flywheel cover. I did use it on the B pipe Manifold gasket because I know the 1211 is good to almost 500 degrees F. Any issues using it on that mani gasket? Jetmaniac (chris) what do you think, this is on the motor you built for me.

Never tried it because it isnt necessary, but will probably be just fine.
