12 / 17???

this winter i am dropping in a 701, 61x, possibly going to port, for my old and tired 650. Would running a skat trak 12/17 impeller make it pull at low end better??? and i do have an aftermarket prop on right now, but they guy i bought the ski off of did not remember the pitch... how can you tell what prop you are running???

might be on the inside of the hub, I know the hooker pitch is done that way... 12/17 might be to much but dont take my word for it.... Im really not a guy to push the hookers but on my ported 701 I ran the 9/15 Hooker and it worked pretty great

Depends on where you ride the most. Are you mainly a surf rider on the Great lakes? I ride 100% surf and I felt the 9/15 was too low. (I run a 701 with a pipe) The 9/15 hits hard on the bottom but was spinning by 2/3 throttle. I had my 9/15 repitched to 11/17 and the things money! If you're a GL surf rider then I say keep the 12/17 and don't look back

Yeah, mostly inland lakes... hope to make it to lake erie next year though... any thoughts on footholds either??? was thinking about putting in Wamiltons cyclones... im not going pro, just want to one day be doing rolls and hopefully back flips off wakes....
