SX/SXi/SXi Pro So how screwed am I? And who can I take my ski to get it fixed in South Jersey?

I may just error on the side of caution going forward and have them both disconnected. My problem was the smoke was coming from the wires pictures not just where the battery cable was touching the engine. Still hoping it isn't fried...

Kawikazi, man I hope you're right. 227, I definitely got lazy and unfortunately paid for it. Never would have expected the terminal to snap but I will in the future.

SX/SXi/SXi Pro So how screwed am I? And who can I take my ski to get it fixed in South Jersey?

OK, I replaced the fuse that is right by where that 1st attachment was taken. When I pulled the wire apart (where it says "PULL"), the fuse was in 2 pieces and I had to use a needle nose to pull out the 1/2 that was stuck. Man I'm hoping that is where the problem is but my gut is telling me...

SX/SXi/SXi Pro So how screwed am I? And who can I take my ski to get it fixed in South Jersey?

I just saw the sparks and smoke, and then touched the wire and it was REALLY hot and figured, I was totally screwed. I am embarrassed to say, I don't even know where the fuses are on this thing. ...digging around for the manual now...

SX/SXi/SXi Pro So how screwed am I? And who can I take my ski to get it fixed in South Jersey?

I was putting a new battery in my 750 SXi and when I was putting it into the ski, the battery wire must have caught on something, snapped the battery wire terminal (it is a 94 afterall) and then totally shorted out the ski. I saw sparks, then smoke from a wire and it seemed to happen so damn...

Looking for advice regarding 1996 Kawasaki 750 SXI...

I have a 1996 Kawasaki 750 SXI. The ski is all original with some wear and tear but only has about 45 hours into it. I got the ski from my brother-in-law who had it down in the Miami area from 1996-2008. He had been keeping the ski in his garage since 1997, and maintaining it but never took...

Need Help: Reputable shop in NJ (near Cherry Hill)?

Thanks. At least that is one. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to spend to take this thing apart and do it myself. For the little bit that I'm actually not working, I would like to not spend my time getting frustrated.

Need Help: Reputable shop in NJ (near Cherry Hill)?

Well leave it to the last ride of the season to break the ski but that is what I did. I had the ski out at Corsen's a couple weeks back and in going from the ramp over to pick a friend up at the beach the ski starting revving really high even though I was giving the same amount of gas (not...

    Restore Dell PC without Reformatting?

All depends what she is using it for. If she is just going online, it has Firefox. She'll be fine.

First standup ride on my "new" standup...

I had the ski out again this past weekend and was porpoising like crazy. I got a little more ballsy with the throttle but it didn't really have much of an affect. I guess it just takes practice. The only thing that made me feel better is that one of my friends gave it a try as well and just...

First standup ride on my "new" standup...

I'll give it a shot this weekend. To be honest I was just worrying about staying upright more than anything :).

First standup ride on my "new" standup...

I weight 165/170. So you think it is just my positioning that could be causing the porpoising? Maybe I'm standing too far back in the tray...hmmmmm. I won't be down tomorrow but will be this weekend.

Sling/Harness to lift waverunner out of the water?

Posting for a friend... Does anyone know if any companies make a sling or harness that you could use to life a waverunner out of the water? He wants to use a winch to pull his ski out of the water than leaving it tied to the dock or use one of those plastic drive up docks. Any help would...

First standup ride on my "new" standup...

I noticed modest improvement when trying to consciously shift my weight forward but at one point I was trying to push the nose down and figured that wasn't typical. I was standing pretty much as you described, so at least I have that working right :).

First standup ride on my "new" standup...

So on Sunday I took the ski ('96 SXI) out for its first ride since I got it. It actually was also my first time on a standup at all and I have to say it was pretty damn fun. I don't think I had the throttle opened up more than 25% (that thing feels like it can really haul ass) and I was...

Need a dry cell for 750sxi?

I was planning on finally getting the 750 SXi I got my hands on in the water this upcoming weekend (long story short, brother-in-law had '94 sitting in FL just needed to get it to NJ and it was mine, which I did). I was going to buy a Jetworks battery but was travelling and it fell off my...
