    Possible causes?

OK. Ran into a snag. I have the protec reduction nozzle installed on my pump, bolt the pump on and shim it properly.....Then I go to bolt on my steering nozzle and it doesn't fit. It seems that the top and bottom bolt holes are too far back on the reduction nozzle. Does anyone know if you...

    Possible causes?

Pro-tec told me that I should check my pump seal and probably replace it. That might correspond with my full throttle induced porpoising and hooking up/unhooking in cyclic pattern. Also got the reduction nozzle from them. Ready to go hopefully!

    Possible causes?

Now that's some useful insight, I'd try it but I dumpstered my stock intake grate! duh. I thought surely it was worthless That kinda makes some sense though. Keep the good intuitive ideas coming. I'm the guinea pig right now.

    Possible causes?

I guess I'm going to order the protec reduction nozzle since used ones aren't coming up available for less than half the price of the protec. My parts guy from hot products suggested confirming that the rideplate is flush with the line of the hull at the front of the rideplate and shimming...

    pivot bolt dimensions?

Just wanted to know the pivot bolt shaft diameter? I'm going to get some thin nylon washers to tighten up the slop in my stock pole so it stays where I put it? Anyone with a pair of calipers and a pivot bolt accessable would save me a lot of time going back and forth to the parts store today.

    Possible causes?

So nobody answered my question. Are the plastic reduction nozzles symetrical. I guess I can take it off and flip it to see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the Hull idea but that might be outta the budget.

    Possible causes?

Protec ride plate installed. I like it a lot actually, gets on plane sooner and stays on plane sooner, I like the handling at lower speeds better. The porpoising is still there but it only does it at say more than 60% throttle and over 40 mph. Still weird. Strange question: I have the...

    Possible causes?

Still don't get it. I'm open to suggestions, but really, is a 0.030" shim added to the front of the pump going to transform that handling? Again people, it feels like the nose won't stay down for what ever reason, even with the nozzle adjusted full down angle, also, with the nozzle adjusted...

    Possible causes?

I'm the guy! My ski handles like crap. I know superjets might not handle the best but John's stays planed and doesn't nose steer and stays hooked up. We have nearly identical skis. My pump is shimmed 1 shim on the back bolts. I've been playing with the ride plate trying to shim this away by...

Remove Bendix with flywheel in place?

Thanks for the tips. I thought I would have to because I remember trying to put it in when the flywheel was already on and I took the flywheel back off again. Maybe I'll try that cutting/rewelding of the case, or maybe I'll just JB weld the case back together! Nice! Those Bendix' are flippin...

Remove Bendix with flywheel in place?

Thanks much. I thought if you wiggled it enough it might come outta there or if you lined up the gears on the Bendix it would slide into the flywheel teeth and be out enough to fall out to the side.

Remove Bendix with flywheel in place?

Is it possible to remove my Bendix with the flywheel in place on my Superjet????

Jetting starting point high velocity motor.

The stuffers aren't in there. I'm happy with the power right now. It cavitates right off idle. Still don't have the handling I want, once it's hooked up and on plane, it is fast..... Running the 132.5's and I'm under 1 turn and still trying to get more by leaning ever so slightly. Still...

Jetting starting point high velocity motor.

It's running freaking crazy now. I'm getting excited. Handling isn't there yet. I shimmed the grate 2 washers worth. I'm still dialing the rideplate because 2 washers on that was too much, it was nose steering again. I guess I'll go back to just 1 washer on the rideplate and see how that...

Jetting starting point high velocity motor.

UPDATE: I'm still tuning and riding here in San Diego! I'm wondering if my crossover being filled is increasing my low speed throttle response too much for the 70 pilot jetting. I'm finding the motor has good response at 5/8 or 3/4 of a turn on the low speed adjuster. I'm wondering if I...

    Nikad58 <--- Me

Hey dude. You still owe me $14. I feel bad for you though. If you still have a reduction nozzle I would even buy it again in light of your personal problems.

quick pump question if you please

Anyone know the inside diameter of the hole in the pump of a later model superjet that the stock siphon bilge operates from? ???? approximate? Or, does anyone know what group K does to the older style pump stator to modify it for less pressure loss????

quick pump question if you please

So IF I epoxied in a fitting what is the size of the hole that would be still allowing water to pass? I would like to keep the stock bilge system working for now so I'm not planning on completely eliminating the bilge siphon source. How big is the hole on later model superjets?

quick pump question if you please

How would you reduce the stock bilge fitting and what size would you reduce it to???? I have a '92 superjet and I'm wondering how much smaller I should make that fitting????
