I have a 61x cylinder / 62t case / dual 38 mikuni setup. I'll be running flame arrestors, removed chokes, filled crossover, and reed stuffers on my engine that has some porting on the cylinder and case. I'll be running a b pipe with a limited chamber. I will be running at sea level. I filled...
John C actually hooked me up on this motor. I just took it apart and cleaned it up since it had some sand on the crank from storage and that bothered me a bit. I think the motor will make great power. It's currently at 82.5mm and the bore looks ok. Might have to go to 83mm to clean it up...
So to take advantage of what kind of powerband it already has I might want to stay really shallow on the impeller and get a swirl 12/17 cutback right. To get it up in the rpm quicker.
Should I go with a mod chamber? One person says limited. Even if it's not THE best for bottom end, having...
I think this isn't much more than what people generally do to 'clean up' the sleeve/cylinder mismatch but it's hard to tell. Could you guys give me some opinions. It's a 61x cylinder of course with a 62t case that has been epoxied and mildly blended in not really 'notched' just smoothed and...
I'm upgrading my 650 (6m6) to 62t case/61x cylinder like late model superjets. Here's my assumption: The case/mounting for the crankshaft and case is the same for a 62t as my 6m6 engine currently so I can use my stator and flywheel from my 6m6 engine on my new engine. Right?
Also, is the...
So is there a good picture or diagram of how to route these hoses and such. Right now I have a single 44 mikuni on my 650 so this is a bit different. Is it simpler than I'm thinking?
I am switching my '92 sn superjet to a 62t case 61x cylinder motor from a late model superjet. For economy, I sourced a set of used stock 38 mikunis from another board member. I have some fuel line routing questions.
My 62t upper case half is ported and has been tapped for an additional...
I witnessed this sub, and although I can't do one and think they are cool, made me not want to try! The motor was fully tilted to the side and the coupler was all cock-eyed of course. Happened at about 8am on 4th of July!!! Nice.
I got a great deal on a set of 62t reeds and a stock manifold from a superjet that was being modified. The guys stated they were as good as new and that was the case. They are in excellent condition and shipped promptly. What else could I want?
