Hello fellow jet skiers . My name is Bernie Duffy and I've been riding off and on since 2000 . I have probably sold or bought parts from a number of you . I was member #67 over on the X . I post as Bern there and Berndog on pwctoday. I've kept a low profile as I've bought a house and had 2...
I have a mod chamber for sale and I am trying to figure out if it is superjet chamber or an fx1 chamber. This chamber is 27.5 inches. From what I read .. an fx1 chamber is a bit more rare / valued . Thanks.
I pulled this out of my 144 conversion and I can't remember if this is a short shaft from an fx1 or a superjet. This pic is bad from the back side of the coupler to the rear of the shaft is about 150 cm. I I put the tape on the front of the coupler it measures 160. Does this mean it is a...
Thinking about selling a yamaha 144 pump with an fx 1 drive.shaft and a Silas Concorde 13/17 prop that is cut back 3 mm.
What do you guys think it is worth?
This off season I flat decked my FX-1 . The reason was that it wassimply too narrow for my taste. I felt cramped on it and I did not like riding with my feet so close together. I think this flat deck will give me the ability to ride more aggressively and carve it with the surf inspired style I...
I have a turf set for an fx-1 that i am not going to use. it's grey. selling it for what i bought it off of IDOK for, $40 shipped.
i put this here in the FX1 section because i wasnt sure if all the fx1 people scan the FS section as much.
i also plan on making this thing modular with a removable deck on top of it. i could always add a layer of sealed board foam to the deck before i bolt it on. i think that would be just as much if not more floatation than was originally in the ski.
i am jamming as much styofoam as humanly possible into this thing...
one of those self inflatting life jackets would provide at least 200 lbs of lift but probably never enough to save a ski from going down.
i am pretty sure that the stuff i yanked out of the VXR is the same as the stuff...
yeah, i planned on using stypfoam but someone else was trying to convince me of noodle stuff. i already have a bunch of styrofoam. most of it is in sheets so i can shape and layer it to conform to the hull. i also have the foam out of a VXR that i will shape to cram as much in there as I can.
thanks for the replies , i appreciate it. what i am doing is sort of a combination of the responses i got. i am using thin marine plywood to create the structure ofthe tray that i will stand on that is supported by aluminum angle brackets. i will seal it with 5200 and glass over it, but I am...
