well, looks like i was close. got a solid 49.7 serveral times. they guy i bought it from said it was 50+ ski. probably would have broken 50, but there was a lot of boat traffic on the lake today. now i have to dry out my gps, just because it says Megellan Marine, doesn't make it water proof, go...

bought this ski back in April 08. it's a 701 with a riva pipe, stock milled head (175ish), Riva F/A, SS prop(?), watercross of texas rideplate and intake grate and single bilge outlet. Just recently added dual 500 rule bilges with mounted switch (ok, tie-wrapped for now), red indicator light...

Bought this ski modded and was hoping someone could explain the water routing.The pump is tapped and plumbed into the manifold and the stock head has two hoses exiting instead of one. just curious the reasoning behind this set up…low end? Mid? Top? better cooling?

i have a (new) 650 exhaust gasket if you think it will work with the pipe. part #6M6-14613-A0. upgraded to a 701, so i don't need it. pm me and you can have it. -- Al

here's two more. bought the 91 back in 2000, and 94 three months ago...

i was hoping to save the driveshaft. i had loosened the prop maybe a 1/4 turn and then it locked-up tight, i guess that was enough distance to damage the threads. then again, using a 24 pipe wrench probably didn't help any.

lol seems that way, but definitely not intentional...amazing what a cutting disk on a grinder can do...

well, i destroyed another prop, this one was a 13/17 i borrowed from my stock 650 to try out on my modded ski...best i can figure, is i shouldn't have used lock-tite...also the threads on the driveshaft are toasted...luckily i have a spare shaft, but not a prop. talked to Dave and just received...

very good possibility, i found the threads on the prop broken. before i removed it, there was enough play that it would hit the sides of the wear ring and i noticed cavitation burns on the cone, so the problem has been there a while. the 15 minutes was just long enough to make sure the motor...

not that i can tell. i can see scratches on opposite sides inside the wear ring so the prop did have some play on the shaft. the ski ran fine on the trailer, except for the noise. took it for a 15 minute test ride on the lake and it's been parked since Sunday last week. did notice a little...

me either, then again i've only removed about 4-5 props in my lifetime. what's odd is that the prop is in near mint condition, go figure...
