the ski runs ok and i think there is a carb/fuel delivery problem, but shouldn't be related. ran it on the hose and the rear plug threads came out milky. it's a 701 w/Blowsion head, compression is 180 front, 170 rear and both hold for 1 minute. Can someone explain this? seams contradictory to me…
i thought the rule of thumb was 1 on the bottom, but asper GroupK... http://www.groupk.com/tec-carbs97.htm

yep, I rode my gsx about 15 minutes from Destin's oulet to the landing under the bridge. bearing on the counter balancer shaft let loose, put a hole in the lower case and a broken Rave Valve

Took out the Kicker’s to install the 615’s, so I picked up a 30x30 sheet of 12oz glass, 105 resin, 205 hardener and 404 filler. I’m using a syrupy consistency to lay the glass. From the web-site I think it’s an E glass with .020 thicknesses. Previously for the Kickers I used only one layer from...
sounds like a good idea. maybe something as something simple like an engine shot, side shot and tray shot...

Glad it worked out for ya’ and the motor runs… I don’t know, my 90 650 with a Solas concord 13/17 had way better snap than my 94 701 with a solas 14/17(YB-SC-S) or a stock waveblaster 15/18. the right prop can make a huge difference.
Thanks. i used Krylon Fusion for Plastic for the pole piece/extinqisure. very impressed how duable the paint is. if i new how good this stuff was, i would have just painted the OEM side rail and bumpers first. sanding the inner side rails and masking off the hull to apply the contact cement was...
OEM parts finder showes Carb 1 @ 135 and Carb 2 @ 137.5. pilot looks to be 115 for both. i'm guessing issues with the 2nd cyclinder starving for fuel? humm...not in a Yamaha? lol
was the other plug still in the head and connected? we had a problem recently with one plug in and connected, while testing the other plug and got a fant/weak spark. upluggled the one still in the head and no spark on the one we were testin. it was apinched under the flywheel/stator assy.
get it running and start riding. from there you'll have a better idea what to do next. like others have mentioned, don’t mod the 650. save the $$ and put it towards a 701.
read up on a few post and thought i'd give this a try. i started out with 1000 gritt wet sanding, then some left-over 3M's microfinishing compound from another project, 3M's Marine Finesse-it II then 3M's Marine Cleaner and wax and for kicks Meguiars Gold Glass. picked up 3M's 3" foam pad...
i was trying to accomplish something like what's put in the radiator, stuff like Water Wetter. didn't realize spark plugs have no real relevance to physical engine temperature. guess the hot/cold nomenclature is very misleading, learned something new. headed out to the lake to tune my carbs so...
I know this is probably off the wall thinking, but would a cooler plug help keep the engine temp down? Going from a #7 to #8? It’s fixing to get crazy hot here again this year, so I figure with outside temps plus the heat generated from the engine it would kinda balance out? I think it would...
