I still like the lanyard...I just turn it so that I don't bump it and I use a really long cord. I have tried running without them ...low idle (kept stalling, sucked!) ...kept idle normal (had my ski head to canada a few times, luckily riding partners caught it).

Have you used the SBT big pin Kawi cranks? Why do you think they are junk? My trued and welded SBT's have held up much better than the stockers. (and they have a full complete 1 year warranty)

Rulemate Auto bilges work way better in standups.....they are simpler. No switch to break. They work with a floating pingpong ball. Get a rulemate 750 and put it behind your battery. Manual switches serve no purpose with this kind of bilge. Rule 500's suck.

Stock SXR carbs? Anyone know the size...1.5?

Yep, SXR motors are wayyy faster than SJ motors. The only thing holding you back is the weight. My ski rips now with my light hull.

I run SBT trued and welded and replace them every 2 seasons. I haven't blown one yet. I am sure Crankworks are better. I have blown 3 stockers.

I would think that the rider being lower would make a much bigger difference than the pole being lower (considering that the rider weighs much more than the pole). Wouldn't this make these bars counter productive?
