I just stuck in some 3lb foam a few weeks ago. It's way too soon to say how it holds up but it made the rear of the ski rock hard. With all the extra glass I have on the entire tray I think 2lb would do just fine.

You can pick up a square hull for $150 so let it brake.

The square pole likes to snap, the round pole is better looking, stronger and can be shortened easily.

And since you are going to all that trouble you might as well cut some hand holds in the hood with buckets under them. I used some aluminum on the front of my hood to re-enforce the hook area but I'm sure glass would work. Than glue or glass in the new liner and you are done.

I don't have any footage but I did scare my self silly on Sunday. I jumped a nice 5 foot boat(a huge cabin cruiser) wake, this was my first decent jump with footholds. Out of habit I pulled up with my legs and did an unexpected sub. The best part was that I wasn't trying to do a sub.
