Got ya.
The added fuel would be nice without having to get the nose of the ski sky high. As for the taking the tank out, must be a RN thing. On my SN the hose clamp that holds the filler line on is easy to get to.
Might have to give this internal fill thing a try some day.
A local welding supplier gave me a stick to try out welding my beach cart.
I figured it would be good just to tack the pieces with this stuff and have it TIG welded once I finished all the fitting.
You need to get the aluminum really hot and puddling before that stuff will stick anything...
Since the very first decent sub I did destroyed my stock pad I would think the front is most critical.
I would have no problem running a screw through a new pad and my pole (right now I have duct tape holding down the front of my pad so aesthetics isn't an issue), WD just gives another...
Just placed an order with Jeff.
I guess I'm a sucker for quality and price.
Now, I just hope the duct tape and self tapping screws hold up till the new pad arrives.
:haha: :haha: :haha:
How much do you trust your friend ?
If you were single I would have to say Vegas.
However, since you are with wife the right thing to say would be "go to Daytona".
If it was me I would be sooooo on the fence and i do trust my friends. :sneaky:
Since I destroyed my stock pad today I need to bring this one back up.
So, does the CG pad fit on a stock pole ?
Anyone have a picture of the WD pad installed ?
I think I can patch up mine (with duct tape, what else) and ride that way till Daytona but with all the holidays I need to place...
Oh, I think I'm committed it's just a lack of talent.
I gave it another few tries today and I think I got a bit carried away.
Busted up my Frankenstein pole pad in a few places.
Nothing that duct tape can't fix.
Todd,
are you going to stick that SX on the trailer or the truck ?
Lee (Spokewrench) has a nice PVC cart that is the same height as the bed of the truck. Makes loading a breeze.
If you need some aluminum for the cart I have a good hook up.
:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:
Pole, what pole ?
I think that the bottom piece alone has more style than all the OEM skis combined (excluding the 3D as that is a Picasso painting in it self).
I'm sure Mr Eiffel would be proud of the rest.
