Todd,
if you want you can take my beach cart and go to jetski beach during the week.
An hour before or after work each day and by the weekend you'll be ripping it up.
If you want I can take some measurements and pictures tomorrow.
All I had to do was drill new holes in my hood the same height as original just a bit further away from center(3" out if I remember right).
"I got a squarenose! "
I'm sure it's not that bad and a bit of make up will cover up any little imperfections.
If that fails, than just think of what they can do now with plastic surgery.
I wasn't thinking of removing the exhaust tube all together.
Just drill out one rivet and lift the nose of the ski up high.
Same idea as drilling a new hole in the hull without the "new" hole.
Here's an idea,
instead of drilling a hole in the hull wouldn't it be easier to drill out one of the exhaust rivets ?
I would rather replace a rivet adding some sealant than have a hole in the hull.
Any thoughts ?
Todd,
get some spark plugs and dump the old fuel.
That thing was running sick yesterday, we need to fix that.
A bigger carb would really help it get up and go.
Give me a call and I'll bring my tools over.
Those hulls look so nice.
If you have any you aren't 100% happy with I'll gladly pull them out of the trash. ?
I wish all hull manufacturers would post pictures of their hulls in different stages of the build process.
I would love to see their top of the line hulls as well...
You still have the choke and fuel selector in the dash ?
Could pull them out and zip tie out of the way in the bilge. Use those holes with some rubber grommets as a temporary heated floor/tray.
Just a thought.
Speedfreak,
You wouldn't happen to have a part # for that , would you ?
I'm thinking of cutting up a spare stock turn plate and giving straight bars a try.
Thank you for the info, I apreciate it.
I was going to keep my square stock looking, didn't want to spend money on fancy paint when I still have a motor to build.
However, this looks like it's worthwhile.
:cheer:
Don't mean to thread jack but did you have to wet sand the paint to get it that nice ?
How did it hold up over the time you had it ?
How much paint did you need and how many coats did you end up putting on ?
That picture got me all excited and I thing the square needs a new color ASAP so...
You're shaiting me , right ?
Got a close up of the finish ?
What color was that blue ?
If that is how good a roller paint job can look than it's time to paint my square.
I have to go with blue.
Not only is it my favorite color but it also works so good on a Yamaha.
Go to a auto paint shop and pick up the blue color samples, there's a bunch to chose from.
When the time comes to paint my square I know that it will be Formula Blue.
