If you must have a front exhaust, some have mounted them above the bond line. Just a thought.

Must be nice to ride in fresh water, might give it a try some day. Get a can of Boeshield T-9 and spray the entire underhood area real well(hit everything in there). I spray the pump too as it makes it nice and shiny. I do this when ever I know I will be riding several days in a row, that...
