I would reinforce the sides then make up some trusses out of fiberglass stock and glass them into the side’s bottom and top at the tray running horizontal across the ski I think you will only need two of them. Remember if the ski is sealed well it is also a big balloon of air in back.

McMaster Carr use to carry floatation balls that are used to keep down evaporation in open top tanks I just haven't found them yet I have a new catalog. You can buy them by the bag.

What I wanted to do was make a quick disconnect for the stator. I just want to plug and play. So I don't want to have to replace the connectors every time I take the elec. box out of of the ski but I do like those for in the box.
